    provided your licence gearbox restrictions are respected.

Our Truck’s

There are three Vehicle options in which to conduct you lessons and test, which vehicle you choose will depend on you current licence conditions as well as the vehicles you intend to drive. If you are unsure of which vehicle you want to conduct your training in give us a call and we will help you decide which solution is best for you.

Heavy Rigid Automatic

Our Heavy Rigid Automatic Truck has a 6 Speed Automatic Gearbox.

On passing your licence test in this vehicle you will have either;

  1. A HR Condition A licence restricting you to driving an Automatic Vehicle or;
  2. A HR Condition B licence allowing you to also drive Synchromesh and Automatic Gearbox Truck. This is the case where you hold an Open C Class (Car) licence. (See Licence Conditions Explained)

Heavy Rigid Synchromesh

  • Our Heavy Rigid Synchromesh Truck has a 6 Speed Synchromesh Gearbox. A Synchromesh gearbox is the same style that you find in manual cars. If you are used to a manual car you should have no problems changing gears in this truck.
  • On passing your licence test in this vehicle you will have HR Condition B licence allowing you to drive a Synchromesh Gearbox Truck and an Automatic Truck.

Heavy Rigid Road Ranger Manual

  • Our Heavy Rigid Road Ranger Truck has a 13 Speed overdrive Crash/Road Ranger Gearbox. This will require doubling the clutch on both up and down changes of gear as well as matching the Revs.
  • On passing your licence test is this vehicle you will have a Heavy Rigid Unrestricted Licence. This allows you to drive any Heavy Rigid Vehicle. (See Licence Conditions Explained).
Helpful Information:

If you have a manual car licence and only wanting to obtain a Condition B (Synchromesh) licence you may want to complete you test in the Automatic making it an easier process to obtain your Heavy Vehicle Licence.

If you have an Automatic Car Licence and want a Truck Licence you may consider completing your test in our Heavy Rigid Synchromesh Truck as once you have completed your test in our manual truck you will also have a manual car licence.

Requirement’s to obtain a Heavy Rigid Licence:

  • You must, have held a Provisional or Open C Class (Car) Licence for a period of 2 years or;
  • Have held a Light Rigid (LR) or Medium Rigid (MR) Licence for 1 year.
